Clare ladies board show loss for 2012 but still in black

The Clare county  board showed a loss of just over 7k euro for the year ending 2012 at its annual convention held in Ennis over the weekend.

However the board still showed a healthy bank balance of over 22 thousand euro after a season when 17k thousand was spent on the county senior team.

Former treasurer Trudy Davenport  advised the meeting that the managment of the account should be outsourced in future which would allow the books to be audited.

Outgoing secretary Michael Fitzpatrick also told delegates that he hopes there will be more co-operataion between the Clare ladies and camogie in relation to Fr Mc Namara Park.

The meeting saw Davy Browne elected as the new chairman-the second time he will take over the positon having served in the role from 2000 to 2004.
