The Clare County Board has voted to adopt a new by law in relation to isolated players who wish to seek to play football or hurling with a nearby club.
Following a robust debate at last night’s special convention the controversial bye law 7 was passed by 55 votes to 16 while a bye law that the county board hold a minimum of 6 meeting per year was also adopted.

A motion from Kilmurray Ibrickane that the number of regradings allowed for each club be increased from 3 to 5 was also passed by the required two thirds majority-despite a warning from Paraic Boland that it may delay the start of the junior and intermediate championships.
