D’arcy out of Six nations with broken foot

Ireland centre Gordon D’Arcy has been ruled out of the rest of the Six Nations with a foot injury.

D’Arcy was in some discomfort after the defeat to England and a scan confirmed he has a stress injury to a bone in his foot.

The injury is expected to keep him out of action for at least six weeks.

Declan Kidney will be forced to make several changes for the Scotland game at Murrayfield on Sunday week.

The Ireland head coach is also without Simon Zebo, Jonathan Sexton and Mike McCarthy through injury while Cian Healy’s suspended.

Kidney was already without Paul O’Connell, Tommy Bowe and Stephen Ferris before the start of the Championship.
