Waterford are set to be missing a number of key players for Sunday’s national hurling league opener with Clare in Ennis.
John Mullane announced his retirement after Xmas while Michael Ryan is also set to be without Stephen Molumphy due to work committments and Philip Mahony as he is travelling while Maurice Shanhan is still recovering from injury.

Clare have injury problems of their own with Nicky and Brian O Connell both set to be absent on Sunday due to injuries as well as long term absentees Conor Mc Grath and Cian Dillion.
