Horan not surprised by Kidney exit

Harlequins coach and ex Ireland international Conor O’Shea has been quoted today as saying he is "absolutely not" going to replace Declan Kidney

The paper reports that Saracens have distanced their coach Mark Mc Call from the position .

Leinster’s Joe Schmidt and Australian Ewen MacKenzie are among the frontrunners to take the job, but Horan believes the IRFU should strive to get an Irishman to lead the national team.

He’s even advocated his support for fellow Clareman Anthony Foley, but accepts that’s unlikely to happen given the Killaloe native was passed over for the job as Munster coach when it became vacant last year
