It’s being reported that Ronan O’Gara will retire at the end of the season.
According to the Irish Independent the 36 year old who has been offered a new one year deal by the Reds has already decided to call time on a career that’s seen him win two Heineken Cups and a Grandslam.
O’Gara was quiet emotional following Munster’s loss to Clermont in Saturdays Heineken Cup semi final in Montpellier but afterwards would not confirm whether or not he had played his last game for the province.
Meanwhile
Joe Schmidt is expected to be named Ireland coach today or tomorrow.
It’s expected that Schmidt will travel to the North America tour but Les Kiss will coach the side, Kiss will be kept on as part of the New Zealanders back room team when he takes the role.
