The county champions had a 1-11 to 1-06 win over Ennistymon, a result which moves them three points clear of Lissycasey who beat Liscannor 4-11 to 3-05.
Eire Og defeated St. Joseph’s Doora/Barefield 2-08 to 0-10 while in yesterday’s other game, St. Joseph’s Miltown Malbay picked up a much needed win as they aim to move away from the relegation dogfight. They beat Doonbeg 0-13 to 1-06.
Shannon Gaels and Kilrush Shamrocks occupy the top two spots in Division 2’s Garry Cup.
The Gaels, who beat Kilmurry Ibrickane on Friday night, were joined on 8 points by Kilrush Shamrocks who had two points to spare over Kildysart, 1-12 to 1-10.
Kildysart are one point behind in the table, along with Clondegad who beat Cratloe 1-13 to 0-08.
O’Curry’s defeated St. Breckan’s 1-10 to 0-05.
In Division 3 Cooraclare beat Kilmihil and Michael Cusacks defeated Coolmeen, both by a single point, while in Hurling’s Division 2 Smith O’Briens beat Corofin 2-20 to 0-14.
In football’s Division 3 today, Wolfe Tones play Doonbeg at 1:00 while Corofin entertain Kilfenora from 1:30.
