Donegal have made a successful start to the defence of their All-Ireland title.
They beat Tyrone by 2-10 to 10 points in their Ulster championship clash in Ballybofey.
Colm McFadden got the first goal for the All Ireland champions and Ross Wherity knocked in the second.
Tyrone saw Joe McMahon sent off for a second yellow card late on.
Over in Ruislip London finally achieved a victory in the Connacht Championship after 36 years.
After being reduced to 14 men they withstood a Sligo fightback to win by one point – 1-12 to 14.
They now face Leitrim for a place in this year’s Connacht final.
Kerry comfortably overcame 14-man Tipperary by 2-19 to 8 points in their Munster Quarter final.
They go on to face Waterford.
In the Leinster Championship Louth beat Laois by 1-16 to 1-6 in Portlaoise.
The wee-county will now host Wexford in the quarter finals.
Wicklow will take on Meath in the next round, after they overcame Longford by 1-15 points to 16 points in Aughrim.
There were also two games scheduled for this afternoon in Division 3 of the Clare Football Leagues.
It finished in a draw between Corofin and Kilfenora – 4-5 to 3-8 – while Wolfe Tones received a walkover from Doonbeg.
