Cratloe have been given a reprieve in their efforts to stay in the Garry Cup.
The South-East Clare side were facing relegation to Division 3 if they were to be awarded a defeat for not fulfilling last Saturday’s match against Kilrush Shamrocks – Cratloe did not want to play the game, as nine of their players were part of the Clare teams which took on Cork the following day.
Following an appeal before the County Hearings Committee, Cratloe have now been told that the game will be re-fixed, though now date has been set.
The game has implications at both ends of the table – if Kilrush win, then they will replace O’Currys in the Garry Cup semi-final, and Cratloe will be relegated.
