CDSL’s AGM resumes tonight

Delegates for the various clubs in the Clare and District Soccer League meet in Ennis to resume their Annual General Meeting tonight.

Motions will be discussed tonight, including a call from Shannon Olympic to avoid the holding of a one-off game, to see if the winners get through to a Promotion/Relegation play-off.

Turnpike want no team to have the same referee in back-to-back games, and also want the season to start with League games, moving the League Cups towards the end of the season.  An Inch Crusaders motion to expand the top two divisions to 12 teams each has been withdrawn.

Other motions concerning administrative arrangements, fees and disciplinary matters will be discussed when the meeting at the West County Hotel begins at 8:30.
