Ireland’s newest world champion says he’s considering one last tilt at Olympic glory.
As you’ve been hearing, Rob Heffernan won the men’s 50k walk in Moscow today, having finished fourth in the event in London last year. He now plans to take a break, but says Rio 2016 remains a possibility, even though he will be 38 when the Games come around.

Rob was to the fore for the key stages of the race, and burned off his main rival, a Russian opponent, with just over 10km to go.
Donegal’s Brendan Boyce also took part this morning, and is coached by Rob Heffernan. He ended up in 25th.
