Ireland’s men have missed out on qualification for the semi-finals of the European championships in Belgium following a 2-2 with draw with England.
Andrew Meredith’s team were 2-0 down at the break but two penalties from Shane O’Donoughue dragged the Irish back in however a draw was not enough to progress.

Last evening, the hopes of Ireland and Clare player Naomi Carroll of European glory came to an end by virtue of a 3-0 loss to Belgium.
The women now contest a relegation pool, beginning with a match against Spain tomorrow.
