Following on from the news that Stephen Kelly from Newmarket Celtic has been called up for a trial with Ireland on Saturday, David McCarthy of Avenue United will also get a chance to impress at international level.
The two Claremen will take part in a trial for the Ireland junior team in Limerick.

McCarthy, who was the top scorer in the Clare Premier Division last season with 21 goals, will also captain the Clare Oscar Traynor team for the coming season after getting the news from Clare manager Liam Murphy at a team meeting last night.
