DJ Carey Praises Clares Development Through Championship

Kilkenny hurling Legend DJ Carey says Clare have evolved since their last meeting with Cork, and will see many areas to close the gap between the sides on September 8th.

The rebels forced Davy Fitzgerald’s side through the back door with an 8 point victory in the Munster Semi final back in June.

In team news from the Cork camp, Jimmy Barry Murphy has Bride Rovers defender Brian Murphy back from injury and in contention for a place on the team in two weeks time.

DJ Carey, who has 5 all Ireland titles, says while Clare have progressed, he still believes we have yet to see the best from Cork

Carey has been speaking ahead of the Hurling night with the Stars at the Abbey Court Hotel in Nenagh tonight for the ‘Fix Crumlin’ campaign at the Children’s Medical and Research Foundation at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.

Carey will be joined by fellow legends Anthony Daly, Nicky English, and John Mullane.
