Disappointment As Munster Council Sticks With Seeded Football Draw

A decision to implement a seeded draw in next year’s Munster Football Championship will stand.

The Munster Council held an emergency meeting last night, to address the concerns of players from Clare, Limerick, Waterford and Tipperary who all oppose the plan.

Munster Council Chairman Robert Frost ruled that the Council has no jurisdiction to revisit the original decision taken on September 12th as this would be in breach of rule 3.31 (e) which states that alterations may be considered only on an annual basis.

Clare footballer and Kilmurry Ibrickane clubman Enda Coughlin says he and his team-mates are very disappointed.
