Sunderland boss Gus Poyet says he hopes their dramatic League Cup quarter final win over Chelsea last night can boost their fortunes in the Premier League.
They won 2-1 after extra time at the Stadium of Light. Cattermole’s own goal put the visitors one up early in the second half but Fabio Borini scored late on, while Ki scored the winner for the Black Cats late in extra time.
