The Galway festival begins today at Ballybrit with the first off at ten past five.
As expected, Dermot Weld runners are hotly tipped for success.
The opening race is a 2 mile novice hurdle, and Weld's Manhattan Swing is vying for favouritism with Des McDonaghs Morga. The McDonagh runner is the 5/2 favourite, with Manhattan Swing available to back at 3/1.
The feature race this evening is the Connacht Hotel handicap which is underway at 6.45.
Tony Martins Quick Jack is the favourite at 4/1, while strong support for the DK Weld trained Grecian Tiger has seen it backed in from 12s into 8/1.
All the afternoons races will be broadcast here on Clare FM
