The Irish Women's team have registered an historic win over defending champions New Zealand in their Women's World Cup clash in France.
Tries in either half from Heather O'Brien and Alison Miller as well as 7 points off the boot of Niamh Briggs earned Ireland a 17-14 victory over their Pool B rivals.

It was the first time that an Irish team has beaten their New Zealand counter-parts in Test rugby and it was also the first World Cup defeat for the 4-time World Champions since the 1991 competition.
