St Senan’s Kilkee Look Ahead to Kilmurry Ibrickane Encounter

The manager of the St. Senan's Kilkee side drawn against Kilmurry Ibrickane in the Clare Senior Football Championship says it will be difficult to repeat their first round heroics against the same opposition.

The Blues had a point to spare over the former champions when they met just over two weeks ago, but Saturday's defeat to St. Joseph's Miltown and last night's draw means they'll have to do it again if they're to reach the quarter finals.

Manager Aidan Moloney, himself a Kilmurry Ibrickane clubman, says they'll have their work cut out.

Another eye-catching game is the match-up of Lissycasey and Eire Og, a repeat of the 2007 final.

On that occasion, Lissycasey lifted Jack Daly but today Eire Og selector Mattie Murphy says his team will be confident heading into Round 3.

In the other games, Eire Og will face Lissycasey, O'Currys take on St. Joseph's Doora-Barefield and Ennistymon will take on Cooraclare.

The draw for the relegation semi finals were also made last night.

Kilrush will take on Liscannor, while St Breckans go up against Shannon Gaels.
