Earlier today Sixmilebridge avoided relegation. 

The reigning canon hamilton holders have beaten Kilmaley 2-19 to 13 points in Clarecastle. 

Elsewhere in Broadford it's finished up as a drawn game. 

Wolfe Tones 18 points and  Whitegate 1goal and 15 points.

And this afternoon in the  Senior Championship Kilmaley has won out over Scariff Ogonnelloe. 3-17 to 5 points the final score there. 

For Scarriff Ogonnelloe it was a disappointing encounter. 

It's been an excellent start for the banner at the National Finals of the community games in Athlone today. 

The banner is coming home with a number of gold and silver medals from Swimming pitch and putt with events set to continue into tomorrow and next weekend. 

326 of the county's youngsters are going for glory from Clare. 

And Finally Shannon's Chris Bryan will be in action at the European Swimming Championships tomorrow morning in the 25km event and Kilkishen's Sean Hehir will hit the streets in Zurich in the Marathon.
