Corofin Expecting Tough Wolfe Tones Encounter

The manager of the Corofin side who are preparing to face Wolfe Tones in Sunday's Intermediate Championship Final admits that they're facing into a difficult game.

Five of the players who contested Saturday's Minor B Final will be available to James Murrihy when he leads his team into the game at Cusack Park.

He's hopeful all of his squad will be available, with only knocks reported from the camp ahead of the decider.

Elsewhere, former Clare coach Liam McHale says he will never again be involved with a Mayo county team after the manner that he and Kevin McStay were overlooked for the job.

The Mayo County Board is coming under fire for the way in which they have appointed joint managers Noel Connelly and Pat Holmes as the successors to James Horan, without going through the normal interview process.

They were chosen ahead of the former St Brigids pairing of McStay and McHale.
