Cratloe back into Clare SFC Final

Its a Cratloe v Eire Óg Clare SFC Final after the defending champions edged a dogged Cooraclare in this afternoons semi final.

3 points a piece from Podge Collins and Cathal McInerney along with scores from Sean Collins and Conor McGrath saw them lead 0-8 to 0-5 at half time. The Cooraclare scores came from three Rory Donnelly efforts, while Pierce and Cathal Lillis chipped in during a half that saw some excellent points.

Cooraclare cut the gap to just two early in the second half with Donnelly pointing again, but Sean Collins pointed either side of a fine score from Pierce Lillis to maintain their three point lead.

Cathal McInerney put four between them with 5 minutes to go, while Donnelly and Enda Boyce traded scores in injury time.

They now take their place in a second successive county football final, with the dream of a hurling and football double very much alive.

Final score in Cusack Park was Cratloe 0-12 Cooraclare 0-8
