The Banner recorded their first victory in the competition, beating Limerick 2-17 to 0-6.
In the other game, Tipperary recorded a second win as they eased past Clare's next opponents Waterord 3-15 to 0-6.

On Saturday, Ennistymon meet Kilrush Shamrocks in Quilty, Lissycasey take on Eire Og in Gurteen and Kilmihil take on Kilfenora/Liscannoer/Ml Cusack's in Ennistymon.
Then on Sunday, Doonbeg/St. Senan's Kilkee face Kilmurry Ibrickane in Cooraclare, St. Joseph's Miltown go up against Naomh Eoin/O'Currys in Doonbeg and Clondegad face Wolfe Tones in Gurteen.
