In Just Mary beginning with the February 2011 general election, the day her active political career ended, she reflects on key events in her working life, including her brother Brian Lenihan’s bid for the presidency, the Eircom sell-off, the infamous ‘St Valentine’s Day Massacre’ when Albert Reynolds took power, and party tensions in the run up to the most recent election

Mary O’Rourke will be in The Ennis Bookshop on Saturday for a book signing from 3.30pm

Shakespeare’s witches, with their "Eye of newt, and toe of frog”, could well have been related to some of our Irish ancient ancestors if some of these remedies are to be believed!
In our Morning Focus health slot we speak with Dr Finn from the Ennis Family Medical Centre
Today –following Halloween – Fr Finn focused on traditional cures and old wives tales

Doctor Maire Finn is from the Ennis Family Medical Centre, and will be joining us again next Friday for more medical advice.

Copies are being distributed to tourism operators across Ireland, UK and Europe as part of the Burren Ecotourism Network’s promotional drive for 2013
The publication, which has been published on recycled paper, is supported by the Burren & Cliffs of Moher Geopark as part of its ongoing commitment to sustainable tourism in the Burren area
Tina O’Dwyer of the Burren Eco Tourism Network had a word.

Mick O’Dwyer looks set to take over as manager of the Clare senior footballers at a county board meeting tonight at 7pm
Speculation in the last number of weeks had linked the Waterville legend to the post and he now looks poised to succeed Micheal McDermott in what will be his sixth stint as an inter-county manager
Clare will begin 2013 in Division 4 of the Allianz League and will be expected to challenge for promotion
In the summer they will face either Limerick or Cork in the Munster SFC semi-final
O’Dwyer’s last job in management was with Wicklow from 2006-2011 and there he enjoyed some notable championship victories
He guided his native Kerry to eight All-Ireland wins between 1975 and 1986, while his spells with Kildare and Laois saw overdue provincial success and an All-Ireland final appearance for the former
O’Dwyer will turn 77 by the time Clare make their championship bow next June
Joe Garry, Clare FM Football Analyst and Kevin McGillicuddy of Clare FM Sport joined John to discuss.
