The first round of CAO Offers are out today

On Morning Focus John Cooke was joined by Bernie Ruane, Past President – Teachers’ Union of Ireland and Shannon based teacher
The Teacher’s Union of Ireland is calling for a re-think on the bonus points being offered for Higher Level Maths
The call comes as thousands of students receive the first round of third level course offers from the C.A.O
As expected, points for many courses are up, although many others have fallen.
It’s reported 56 per cent of higher degree university courses have registered an increase in CAO points
The TUI says the bonus points for Higher Level Leaving Cert maths will cause an increase in college points requirements across the board.
