Jimmy Deenihan, T.D. Minister for Arts, Heritage & Gaeltacht Affairs, will officially open the refurbished Cultúrlann Sweeney (Sweeney Library) in Kilkee at 6pm this evening
The event will be attended by the Cathaoirleach and Members of Clare County Council
The €1.6m redevelopment of Sweeney Library includes the provision of additional library space, theatre and exhibition space, and multifunction spaces
Helen Walsh, Clare County Librarian had a word ahead of the opening.
The Minister will also be in Corofin today to officially open the 11th Annual Corofin Traditional Festival, and to launch their new double-CD, "The Teach Ceoil Concerts", which is a double-CD of highlights the various concerts they have held at the festival in its first 10 years
The event will happen at 8pm in the Teach Ceoil, and the festival will continue for the week, concluding on Sun March 4th
