Preparations will begin this week to welcome Fleadh Ceoil na hEireann to Ennis in 2016. The festival which is said to be worth in the region of 30 million euro to the local economy is set to return to the town after an absence of 39 years. The Fleadh is the largest music festival in the world and will see traditional music players and fans descend on Ennis from across Ireland and the globe.
We were joined in studio by Micheal O'Riabhaigh – Chairman of the working Group for the Ennis Fleadh Bid, Tom Coughlan, Chief Executive Clare Co. Council,  Johnny Flynn Mayor of Ennis and Member of the Working Group and Siobhan Hassett Sales Manager Treacy’s West County Hotel – all joined us in studio, outlining the significance of the result and what it will mean for Ennis and the County. Local Musician and West Wind Presenter on Clare FM Eoin O Neill also explained how exciting this result was for local musicians.

Morning Focus Garda Focus slot we were joined today by Sergeant Joe Downey, Crime Prevention Officer, Ennis Garda Station, appealing for your help in solving recent local crime.  – There were a number of robberies and break-ins to outline including one incident last Friday that involved Clare TD Timmy Dooley who had given chase to a man who attempted to snatch a handbag from a woman in Ennis. Deputy Timmy Dooley helped to secure the return of the woman's bag, in an incident which occurred in the town centre early Friday afternoon. Deputy Dooley outlined the incident to John Cooke but both he and Sgt Downey explained that taking such action is not encouraged as it could result in a much more serious incident.

Are you often stressed or anxious? Find it hard to fall or stay asleep? Feel down and lacking in drive? Tired a lot of the time? Patrick Holford, Nutritionist and Author of the new book The Stress Cure joined us in studio to outline the philosophy behind our stress levels.
