Morning Focus – Monday, November 16, 2015

Monday’s Morning Focus opened with an update on the Paris terror attacks from journalist Shona Murray in the French capital.
We also heard more reactions to the news of Roche’s plans to leave Clarecastle. Gavin heard from Marie Clare Gorman, Secretary & PRO of Clarecastle Community Development and from Martin McNamara, Chairperson Clarecastle GAA (who are sponsored by Roche).
Gavin also spoke to Theresa O’Donoghue of the Public Participation Network (PPN) — a forum of 150 groups who have registered to form part of the county's new PPM. The groups, from Clare's community and voluntary, social inclusion and environmental sectors, are looking to form part of the Network which aims to enhance the public's role in forming local government policy. 
With fears over the levels of rural crime, Gavin heard about the launch of a Community Alert Scheme in Cratloe.
Following news of Roche’s closure plans, Gavin spoke to Minister for Jobs, Richard Bruton.
To mark the launch by Minister Kathleen Lynch of a research study on the lives of people with disabilities, Gavin was joined in studio by Rob Hopkins Advocacy and Inclusive Research Officer with the Brothers of Charity Clare; Ger Minogue PRO Inclusive Research Network; Brian Hogan Chair Clare Advocacy Platform and Kathleen O'Leary, Inclusive Researcher.
Our Monday Sports Panel was made up of Clare FM’s Derrick Lynch and David O'Brien.
Ahead of a 'Save Your Breath' COPD health check-in in Ennis, Gavin was joined in studio by James Gallagher, Chairman of Clare COPD who spoke about this debilitating, chronic condition.
We heard that hedgehogs are now in grave danger of extinction. Gavin was joined in studio by Bev Truss Conservationist and Manager of the Hogsprickle Wildlife Rescue in Broadford.
