The issue of insurance fraud came under the spotlight when the AA revealed it was adding up to €50 to every premium. Conor Faughnan joined Gavin to discuss the issue.
New CSO figures showed this week that crime rates are lower in Clare than in most other parts of the country. However, Gardaí here have been more likely to catch out drivers. To discuss the data, Gavin was joined in studio by Garda Chief Superintendent John Kerin.
Helen Lynne from Mount Callan phoned the show to talk about the issues with phone coverage being experience by herself, her husband, and a number of neighbours on the Three Network. Morning Focus decided to take the issue up with the company after being inundated with complaints about coverage all over the Banner County.
Ennis solicitor Sharon Cahir has co-authored a new book, Success University for Women, which had a ‘virtual’ launch on Amazon.com recently. She joined Gavin in studio to discuss the philosophy behind the book.
Gavin heard from author Paddy Duffy about his lighthearted look at what it means to be Irish in the book, ‘Guess who's dead?’.
Brian Mac Coitir from Ennis is among a group of Irish cavers to lead expedition into the deep jungle of Papua New Guinea to explore an underground region that have never been seen by man. Ahead of a talk on the topic at UL, Brian joined Gavin in studio.
A TG4 show on photography presented poignant images of evictions in Bodyke. Presenter Pádraic Ó Neachtain spoke to Gavin about the series, ‘Tríd an Lionsa’.
