6,000 Clare hurling supporters turned out to cheer on their side in the GOAL Charity Challenge event in Sixmilebridge last night
Large crowds had gathered in the Bridge long before the start of the good-natured exhibition game between a Clare A and B selection, while Clare’s players and management stayed on long after the game was over to spend time with the county’s fans in the latest part of their All-Ireland celebrations

Heavy Goods Vehicles are to be allowed travel through the Limerick Tunnel for free in November
It was the hauliers suggestion -they lobbied the Transport Minister to try it as it’s common practice in other EU countries
The decision was made by Minister Leo Varadkar on a trial basis to see if it is possible to attract more hauliers to use the motorway more rather than regional and local routes
BUnratty based President of the Irish Road Hauliers Eoin Gavin welcomed the move.

The Clare Harvest Banquet is taking place in the Old Ground Hotel, Ennis tomorrow night
It’s part of the inaugural Ennis Food Festival this weekend
Founder Sinead Garvey joined John in studio, she says the banquet has been central in providing support to over 7,000 vulnerable people in Mongolia in recent years and encouraged people to buy tickets and enjoy a five course meal – every morsel of which is from Clare.
