Ahead of today's budgets we talked to our Oirechtas  menbers  to get a better understanding of the budget, what people can expect and the political implications of what is expected to be a reasonable positive budget. John spoke with Michael McNamara TD (Lab) and Joe Carey TD (FG)

The HSE has said a move which could have restored 24-hour A&E care to Ennis 'would not be in the overall interests of patient safety and care in the Mid-West.'The acting head of the UL Hospitals group was responding to calls for the county hospital to be upgraded to a Model 3 facility. The UL Hospitals Group is the only national hospital group without a Model 3 hospital.  That would have facilities to deal with acute medical conditions, and would be operational seven days a week. Dr John Kennedy Chief Clinical Director, UL hospital discussed the issue with John.

John O'Neil is a Doonbeg holiday resident and  has written a letter to the council in which he has outlined his dissatisfaction with the number of taxes he has had to pay in relation to his holiday property in Doonbeg which he has had since 1995. John is now selling his house.  John made the point that he has spent over 100k in Clare since he bought the house and loves the county but has had enough when speaking with John.

Our Resident DIY expert Gerry Bredin was in studio today. As the evenings begin to get darker.  Gerry looked into outside and emergency lightening. What's new on the market what to loo k for when buying emergency lightening.

The Burren Subaqua club are having an open day next Wednesday in Shannon. The club has previously being involved in the search for the Spanish Armada wreck and the San Marcos over the last 2 months .John was joined by Tadgh O'BrienChairman  Burren Subaqua Club ahead of the clubs open night .
