Robert Grimes the ESB Area Manager for Clare, Limerick and Roscrea gave us an update on the power outages as a result of Monday night's storm. Robert was confident most homes would have their power back by lunchtime. 

Tony Carroll is the SIPTU Organiser for the Shannon Region and Niall Shanahan, IMPACT Spokesperson both spoke to John following the first meeting between the Irish Congress of Trade Unions and IAG Monday. SIPTU say IAG would have to do a lot to win their support and the Government would have to secure a lot more. Meanwhile, IMPACT said the takeover is bad for Aer Lingus staff and threatens their jobs.

University Maternity Hospital Limerick has received international recognition for their work in Neonatal Care. The Hospital has won an award for its breastfeeding programme at the International Excellence in Paediatrics Conference which took place in Dubai recently. 
The team from UMHL won “Best Education Programme” for their project to improve breast milk exposure to the extremely low birth weight infants in their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Roy Philip, Consultant Neonatologist and Clinical Director for Maternity and Child Health spoke to us following the award. 

Landlords will soon be outlawed from excluding prospective tenants in receipt of rent supplement. The Government is to prohibit rental adverts which state that rent allowance is not accepted. The measures to be enacted by way of an amendment to existing equality laws. Patricia McCarthy of Patricia McCarthy Associates Property and Relocation Services, Newmarket-on-Fergus shed some light on the matter. 

John Lowe, the MONEY Doctor spoke to us on a range of topics including the rise in pocket money for teenagers, the Credit Unions bid to compete with the banks by their introduction of debit cards and as usual he answered some of your finance queries. 

Tradraí is an annual GAA magazine produced by Newmarket-on-Fergus GAA club. Tradraí looks back on the year gone by and is filled with excellent features. For the first time in the over 30 years the club didn’t publish Tradraí in 2013 and 2014. Tradraí 2014 was relaunched last Thursday – The Editors Paraic Mc Mahon and Con Woods joined us in studio to fill us in on the magazine contents and its importance to The Newmarket-on-Fergus GAA Club.     

Ennis Musical Society presents the Musical Classic, The Wizard of Oz at Glor in Ennis from tonight through to Saturday 28th Feb at 8pm each evening with a 2:30pm matinee on the Saturday. The Wizard of Oz has delighted audiences worldwide for decades with it's clever lyrics and infectious melodies, and this production presented by child and adult performers from Ennis and neighbouring parishes looks set to do the same. Clare FM's Cian Kearns caught up with Dorothy and the gang during their rehearsals last week! Tickets on sale from Glor box office 6843103
