Morning Focus Tuesday June 26

On Tuesday’s Morning Focus Consultant Respiratory Physician at the Midwest Regional Hospital Dr Aidan O’Brien joined John Cooke to discuss the high rate of lung disease in Ireland

The public are urged to heed the early signs of lung disease and to avail of the free lung health (spirometry) tests being provided at the Midwestern Regional Hospital Ennis tomorrow to mark World Spirometry Day
The ‘Love your Lungs’ campaign aims to encourage people to get their lungs tested, particularly if they have symptoms such as shortness of breath, persistent cough or wheeze. Testing can provide an early indication of diseases such as asthma, lung fibrosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
Early detection of these diseases can greatly improve outcomes and quality of life for patients
