The Data Protection Commissioner has said that Mick Wallace lodged a complaint with his office about the disclosure of information received by Minister for Justice Alan Shatter yesterday
Independent Deputy Wallace asked Billy Hawkes to investigate what he considers to have been an improper disclosure.

The HSE has launched their Fostering Awareness Campaign ‘Change a Life, Become a Foster Carer’
The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of the benefits of fostering and to assist HSE Foster Teams in recruiting new foster carers for children and young people in Ireland
Foster carers are needed throughout the country but more so in larger urban areas and the HSE is particularly interested in hearing from potential foster carers for young people aged 8 to 18 as

The Charities Act 2009 was enacted to reform the law relating to charities in order to ensure greater accountability and protect against abuse of charitable status and fraud
It aims to enhance public trust and confidence in charities and to increase transparency in the Irish community and voluntary sector
Most of the legal changes contained in the Charities Act have not yet been implemented. The Act provides for the establishment of a new independent regulator for charities – the Charities Regulatory Authority
This has not yet taken place, it is only when this regulator has been established that most of the other changes in the Act can be brought into force
Mairead Doyle of Michael Houlihan and Co. Ennis and a Volunteer Solicitor with the Clare Citizens’ Information Centre’s free legal advice clinic joined John to explain.
