The Afternoon Show – Friday May 31st 2013

On today’s edition of The Afternoon Show we featured our weekly Friday Panel and joining Gavin Grace in studio was Rose Hally, Manager of Bank of Ireland, Ennis, David Tighe, Media Consultant and Ciana Campbell, former TV presenter.  For discussion on today’s panel; the spotlight has been firmly focussed on Ireland’s crèches this week, following Tuesday’s Prime Time exposé, which showed footage of children being flung onto mattresses, manhandled, shouted and cursed at and strapped into chairs for hours at time at three facilities in Dublin and Wicklow.  We asked our panel what lessons need to be learned to prevent a repeat? Also for discussion today – Loop Head has been named the best place to holiday in Ireland, while the Burren, it’s reported could be used as a backdrop for the next Star Wars.  How can we best capitalize on these boosts for Clare? And this week featured National Biscuit Day – we asked what goes best with your cuppa?

The Friday Feature on today’s show was style and fashion with Stylist Tess Purcell and she talked about Summer styles, beachwear and most importantly skincare in the sun.
