Dr. Rosemary Daly, a Paediatric Dentist, is aiming to raise awareness of tooth decay in young children.  Dental decay is now the most common chronic disease of childhood and it is a preventable disease that can be easily avoided by asking parents to follow some simple guidelines.  She says there are a lot of public misconceptions out there such as – milk teeth are not important because they fall out or children shouldn’t go to the dentist until they are in primary school.  She also encouraged parents and guardians to avail of dentistry services locally as soon as children’s milk teeth begin to appear.
