Clare’s population increased by over 200 in the first quarter of this year.
The CSO have announced that a total of 430 births were recorded here from January through to March, as opposed to 191 deaths.

The number of girls born here was 26 higher than the number of boys, and while over two-thirds of births were registered to married parents, 61 kids were born to parents who were not listed as living together.
Meanwhile, diseases of the circulatory system were listed as the most common cause of death in the county.
