Over 14% of housing property in Clare is lying empty.
New figures from The Housing Agency show that there properties in the banner county are amoung 250 thousand houses are unoccupied around the country.

The Clare figure is slightly above the national average of 13%.
But Ennis Councillor Ann Norton, a member Clare County Council's Planning and Housing Committee insits the figure is still too high.
