16 year in court over riot murder

 

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of a 68-year-old man during last week’s riots.

Richard Bowes died in hospital on Thursday after he was attacked while trying to put out a fire in Ealing in west London.

Meanwhile,

A 23 year old man is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court later this morning – charged in connection with the murder of three men, during last week’s riots in the city.

The men were knocked down by a car and killed while trying to protect shops from looters.

Two other people –  a 26 year old man and a 17 year old boy –  were also charged with the murders over the weekend.

A minutes silence was observed yesterday at a peace rally in the city to remember the victims.
