The 7th Annual Ennis Darkness Into Light Walk is being launched tonight.
The event, which raises funds for mental health services and suicide prevention, has gone from strength to strength since it’s first staging in 2011.
Up to 3,500 people are expected to participate in the event in Ennis this year with Shannon, Miltown Malbay, Killaloe, Kilrush and Doolin also hosting walks.

Pieta House has introduced bereavement counselling and a suicide bereavement liasion service this year, and Tom McEvoy of Pieta House says these events are crucial to maintaining vital services.
