Late last year the Irish Government resumed payments of almost 4 million euro in funding to the NGO following an investigation into its Syrian aid programme.
 
In a statement the charity says a two-week voluntary redundancy application period has begun for all staff.
 
The job losses are expected to take effect from March 1st.
