26 groups and clubs throughout Clare have been honoured under the Go For Life Scheme, administered by the Irish Sports Council.
The organisations will now receive moneys to allow their older members become more active.

Locally, the Clare Sports Partnership is the biggest beneficiary with 2,000 euro worth of funds.
The other 25 groups receive between 250 and 300 euro, and include organisations in Kilmihil, Labasheeds, Kilmurry Ibrickane, Corofin, Whitegate, Cooraclare, Clarecastle, Ennis, Shannon and Newmarket on Fergus.
