The MidWest has received a massive jobs boost with the announcement of 270 new jobs for Limerick.
150 more temporary positions will also come on stream during the construction of a new manufacturing facility by Ethicon Biosurgery Ireland
270 new high end jobs will be created over the next five years as the US firm begins the manufacture of a new patch to be used to rapidly stop bleeding during major surgeries.
A further 150 temporary jobs are already coming on stream as the company retro-fits an existing building beside Vistakon on the National Technology Park campus in Plassey.
The EVARREST product is one of the most technologically advanced in the world and it's hoped the company will begin manufacturing in 2016.
Recruitment is already underway.
