Over 2,800 Clare students are set to six the state exams which get underway tomorrow morning.
New figures from the State Examinations Commission show that 1333 candidates in the county are Leaving Cert students and this breaks down to 710 males and 623 females .. A further 91 pupils are sitting the Applied Leaving Cert.
Meanwhile there are also 1,384 junior cert students preparing for the exam tomorrow with more girls than boys registered to sit the papers ..
This year the State Examination Commission has introduced a number of enhanced procedures to prevent a repeat of the rescheduling of an exam after an error last year lead to students being handed out the wrong paper.
