There’s been a spike in trolley numbers at the region’s main hospital today.
The latest INMO figures show 31 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, all but two of those in the Emergency Department.
It’s 21 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 76 patients were waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
