34 Cases Of Mumps In Midwest So Far This Year

Nearly 400 people have been diagnosed with mumps across the country so far this year.

New figures from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre show 64 new cases were reported last week, bringing the total for this year up to 381, over 6 times more than in the same time frame in 2018.

Just over 60 percent of cases this year were in the 15 to 24 age bracket, meaning they would have been born around the time as discredited research was published claiming that there was a link between the MMR vaccine and autism.
