The Clare Branch of St Vincent De Paul has revealed that there has been a 35% increase in the number of people seeking its support since this month two years ago.
SVP has launched it’s annual appeal amid a warning that calls for help this year will be at it’s highest level nationally, than at any other time in history.
Branch President, Denis Carty says the pandemic has intensified a lot of problems faced by the families they support, with people finding themselves in arrears while trying to fund technology for children during lockdown and other costs.
