Trolley numbers have once again risen at the region’s main hospital.
The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show 35 patients were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, all but seven of them in the emergency department.
It’s 16 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 117 patients were left waiting for beds at hospitals across the country.
