A 36 year old man has been murdered in West Dublin following an altercation overnight.
The fight broke out in Lucan a short time after shots were fired at a house in nearby Ronanstown.
The victim has been named locally as 36 year old Neil Reilly, from Lucan.
This bizarre chain of events began at around four am in Liscarne Gardens in Ronanstown.
Gardai were called to the Glebe in Lucan, about 4 kilometres away, where a crash had happened, after which a fight broke out:
It’s not clear whether the victim, who’s been named as Neil Reilly from Lucan, died as a result of stab wounds, or being hit by a car.
Locals walking in the area were shocked, as it’s the second murder in the area since December:
