The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has dropped slightly today.
The latest INMO figures show there were 41 patients waiting on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 32 of those in the emergency department.
The overall figure is 2 less than the busiest facility, Cork University Hospital, and comes on a day when 206 people were waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
